This rosè made from grenache grapes is a rosè purists ideal. Pale pink, with slight apricot hues and with a crisp, clean line of acidity. It is great right there. But wait, there's more... with flavours of red apple, boysenberry and a hint of sherbert, it's a delicious wine. And after spending a few months on lees in old oak, with continual stirring of the barrels, it's developed a lovely weight and a touch of mid-palate texture to help round out the mouthfeel.

Wine wank aside, all these pieces add up to an alarmingly smashable rosè, that is amazing by itself, or a great match for vietnamese/thai food as well as a simple cheese plate. Lookout.

    • PRODUCTION NOTES

The ’21 Sailor MAAN is actually a Pinot Noir based rosè from the Adelaide Hills. And as a result this wine has real deep salmon colour.

On the nose there are the classics of fairy floss, strawberries & cream, and raspberry lemonade. As well as more tropical notes of guava, hibiscus, and even lemonade.
The acid and texture of this wine are well balanced and form a good basis for the afore mentioned flavours, as well as subtle spicy notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. And the classic Hills pinot flavour of apricot shines through on the palate.
A light, smashable style with creamy acidity, and a smorgasbord of berries make this wine a perfect, refreshing wine for drinking in the sunshine.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Do your wines contain sulphur?

In short, yes. We use a tinsy bit so that we can ensure quality and enable your wine to age well, rather than spoil within a short timeframe like some 'natural' wines.

    Are your wines organic?

We source our grapes from a number of different growers and some of them are certified organic, and some aren't.

    How much does shipping cost?

Depends how much you're ordering and where you're shipping to. Generally speaking, the closer you are to Melbourne or Adelaide, the cheaper it will be. All shipping prices are calculated at the checkout, but order 12 or more bottles and receive free shipping.

Which restaurants / stores stock your wines?

It changes regularly but you're welcome to contact our distributors
